Did You Know Charlie Brown Grew Up To Be MY Knight In Shining Armor?

May 9, 2018

I grew up enamored with Charlie Brown, Snoopy & the Peanuts Gang.  The viewing of the holiday specials was a fun night in my house.  We would gather in front of our

huge television  Charlie_Brown

monstrosity of a television with home made popcorn and dreams of Valentine’s, Easter baskets, Trick-or-Treating, family arriving for Thanksgiving or the Christmas tree, presents and Santa.  It was the memories that helped build childhood.

Charlie Brown was a kind, gentle-hearted soul who lacked a little self-confidence. My heart always melted for him because he had determination, hope and a gentle soul.   He had his good days when he was optimistic enough to try to earn his self-worth and his bad days when he had his humiliations exposed.  Regardless he never gave up and he did not ever do anything to hurt any soul.  Luckily, his loyal and trusty Beagle, Snoopy, was always at his side.  I loved that Charlie never gave up on being successful at kicking the football, or the thought of receiving fabulous treats on Halloween night or getting that beautiful red-haired girl, whom he never learned her name, to look at him with love in her eyes.

Did you know that I married Charlie Brown? He of course had other admirer’s, Peppermint Patty and Marcie to name a few, but somehow I got lucky and captured his heart.  In the end, all of the trials and tribulations, positive parenting and life experiences away from home built a AMAZING MAN!!  Charlie Brown grew up and became a architect who eventually had the risk-taking ability to start his own firm successfully.  He raised two children (a girl and a boy), gave them beautiful dogs to love, afforded them opportunity and the experience of college.  In the end, all of the times that my dear Charlie Brown did not know how to ask for, achieve or be the man he wished for came to fruition.   He worked hard in his youth gaining knowledge, maturity, determination, an ability to take risks, a never fail mentality, a kind soul, dog lover and above all a loving, sweet family man.

Charlie Brown + Me = LUCKY, LUCKY, LUCKY ME!!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
