Trying to eat for Multiple Sclerosis and a stomach issue I have learned that it is beneficial to break food down to the liquid level. The nutrients get into your blood stream immediately and none of the nutrients are lost in the battle against your stomach acids.
I usually start with plenty of the veggies as my base. Favorites are kale or a combination of dark colored greens. I love the taste of cucumber so that is a staple. I use a lot of carrots, squash and zucchini lately. Then I begin adding the sweet to make the concoction yummy. Lately, strawberries, fresh pineapple, banana, blueberry and blackberries. Sometimes I add almond milk or a plain yogurt for extra protein. I don’t like warm smoothies so I always add a little ice.
I chop my veggies and fruit into a individual sized blender called a Ninja Bullet and blend it until it is a smooth consistency. YUM!!!!
