As a kid I loved pretending to be a teacher in my make shift classroom. When I grew up I had two passions — kids and art. In the end I learned that I loved kids more. So, I attended the University of Kansas and earned my degree in Elementary Education.I married my high school sweetheart and we had two children, a daughter and a son, who add joy and magic to our lives. Each very special but quite different.
Our beautiful, intelligent, creative girl just completed her first year of college in the school of Fine Arts. She has a natural and gifted affinity to painting, drawing, sculpting, writing, playing music, and being creative. Other passions are her rescued Chihuahua Elio, reading and becoming her authentic self.
Our son is completing high school while he thoughtfully plans his future. Current thoughts for further studies are aviation and architecture. Aside from his physical beauty and risk taking abilities, he has some emerging natural leadership skills, a strong work ethic and a determined nature. His passions are soccer, golf, fishing and the boys.
Besides my dear old dad the best thing that has affected my life is the fact that I married my best friend. Without my dear husband in my corner of the world I fear I would be sad and lost. My husband took a risk and quit his corporate job to start his own firm. Due to his immediate success we all live a very nice life. We also have 2 crazy Great Danes, a sassy 2 LB Chihuahua and a cat who thinks he’s a dog but responds to the name Chicken.
My days are happy and usully spent ensuring my diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis is kept at bay, my families needs are attended to and taking some time to dabble in art, read and play with my dogs.
I hope you enjoy reading my BLOG. Please feel free to share your comments, thoughts and insights. I have made so many thoughtful friends through this process and would love the opportunity to meet you too!!
